About me

Kayla Jessop, RDN, CDN, CEDRD-S is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and certified eating disorder dietitian based in New York, NY. She offers individual nutrition therapy, individual and group meal support, therapeutic cooking classes, and therapeutic group counseling. She also offers professional supervision for fellow dietitians, therapists and other medical professionals who are seeking an experienced clinician to oversee their cases.

With experience as the Lead Dietitian at the top eating disorder treatment center in Manhattan, she is most known for being an "eating disorder expert." Kayla has excellent experience working in different levels of care such as Day Treatment Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Outpatient Groups. She provided nutrition counseling, meal support, and ran multiple groups a week that focus on the recovery process such as intuitive eating, cooking groups, body image, and much more. She is an expert on intuitive eating, Health at Every Size, and improving people's relationships with food.

Kayla Jessop is an Anti-Diet registered dietitian who has specialize in helping individuals of all ages regain peace with food and body. She will never tell you to deprive yourself or ban certain foods from your life. Instead, her mission is to help you recognize diet culture and filter out damaging information. She will help you rediscover your body's inner wisdom about how to truly nourish yourself.  As you make peace with food and body you will notice an increased space in your mind for bigger and better things than counting calories, macros or points.

Kayla is passionate about her work and is constantly seeking the latest research to help her clients. For example, this summer she will be co-leading NYC first RO-DBT (Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy) class with Maggie Ritnour, LMHC, LCAT, ATR-BC.

With the few remaining hours in the day, Kayla likes to practice yoga, relax on the couch with a good book or TV show, and spend as much time as possible outdoors. Kayla lives in Manhattan, NY with her husband and soon to be therapy dog named Mochi.
