One of the silver linings of the pandemic was finding Kayla and having a chance to work together remotely (we're on opposite sides of the country). My daughter was diagnosed with ED and it became my mission to find the best resources in the country to treat her on an out-patient basis. We were drawn to Kayla's knowledge of ED, thoughtful delivery of nutritional information, and incorporation of RO-DBT. Kayla worked with my daughter on a weekly basis, and also worked with me individually. I needed to understand how to coach my daughter at home through her recovery. It's a very difficult experience, filled with countless "what if" fears. Kayla was able to keep me calm and focused on the plan that she set forth. She incorporated a numberless digital scale that communicated my daughter's weight to Kayla's phone using an app so that weigh-ins were less problematic. My daughter is now 2 years into her recovery and I am so proud to say she is living her best life. She has a healthy attitude about fueling her body and an awareness of how much her mindset and behavior have improved with proper nourishment. She wants to stay well. We will be forever grateful for the support and guidance we received from Kayla. She is a wonderful person and gifted clinician.

Claire has an incredible ability to listen and not just prescribe solutions. She dove deep into what made me tick and helped me identify areas that I could address and helped me build healthier relationships with food and how I approach eating.

I saw Claire for about 6 months or so in 2022. My life has been drastically changed. No, seriously. I've suffered from IBS for years and likely since I was a kid. In a previous job, my stress was super high and my IBS became worse.
I originally reached out to Claire because I really thought I would have to do a low FODMAP diet (then wean back on) and I knew I needed professional help.
Working with Claire, I relearned just the basics of nutrition. Growing up where food had so much connotation to it, it turned out that I really didn't know how to pair foods together in a way that was best for my gut.
Oh, those MASSIVE salads I would eat for lunch with no protein? Turns out those aren't good for my body.
Oh, those big smoothies I would make PACKED full of greens and other "healthy foods". Yeah, that wrecked havoc on my system from all the fiber.
Working with Claire I was able to learn how to eat again, how to snack, and how to combine my foods/snacks in a way that began to lessen my episodes.
Fast forward several months and with her help, guidance, and expertise, we found a rhythm that worked wonderfully for me.
Claire was also just an all around delight to work with. She's super knowledgeable, easy to talk to, professional, and understands disordered eating. While I don't deal with disordered eating, I grew up in a house full of it. Being able to chat openly about my food experiences growing up, and knowing that Claire understood this side of things, made my experience even better. There was no stigma.
I also appreciate Claire being forward in saying, "You are doing really well and I believe that if we continue to see each other regularly, you're not getting you're monies worth."
I am grateful for that sort of transparency and integrity. If I start having regular flare up again, I will not hesitate to make appointments again with Claire.
